Supply Chain Lead

The Operations team works across the entire global Tomorrow organization to help all business units achieve their goals. We work with Tomorrow stakeholders and leadership to design and implement our operating plan, and to measure and track progress against our goals.

The team is also responsible for the development of corresponding spacecraft and constellations in support of Tomorrow.io's Operation Tomorrow Space, which will collect data to be integrated seamlessly into our existing forecasting and modeling systems, revolutionizing global weather intelligence.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Lead who'll support the management of an efficient and productive supply chain, procurement and supplier quality process that meets stakeholders requirements. This includes support work in the lab, organization, receiving, shipping, supplier site visits among other critical tasks related to procurement, inventory management and fulfillment. Your work will directly impact our operational efficiency, collaborating with teams across the company, including production, engineering, finance, and the Space & Sensors team.

As the Supply Chain Lead at Tomorrow.io, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing the procurement process for the organization while ensuring the smooth operations of the day-to-day business activities in the office and lab.

This role requires someone who excels in attention to detail, is resourceful, and will be a proactive partner to engineering and manufacturing teams in Golden. This position requires a hands-on approach, with daily in-person involvement in the GoldenDenver office to support engineering, production, and supply chain teams.

What You'll Do:

• Supplier Quality Management: Monitor and ensure the quality of components and materials from suppliers, working closely with quality control teams to perform inspections and ensure adherence to industry and company standards. Evaluate and manage supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and implement corrective actions as necessary to improve supplier reliability and quality. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any quality issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions to prevent production delays.
• Procurement Process Oversight: Manage the procurement process from initial requisition to delivery, including sourcing supplies, issuing purchase orders, reconciling invoices with finance, and communicating schedules/requests to requesters and suppliers.
• Inventory Management: Oversee and execute a robust inventory management system that supports production and operational needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Vendor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate and secure favorable terms, while optimizing procurement costs and mitigating supply chain risks.
• Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and Tomorrow.io's policies, including export control laws and procurement regulations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, production, engineering, and the Space & Sensors team.
• Logistics & Shipping: Own the execution and process of shipping and receiving. Partner with production and engineering teams to manage the stocking, cleaning, and organization of lab and office areas.
• Process Improvement: Participate in supply chain process improvements and identify opportunities for better efficiency and effectiveness.

What you bring:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or operations within a fast-paced, technical manufacturing environment.
• Technical ERP Expertise: Proficiency with ERP (NetSuite preferred) for managing Supply Chain Operations
• Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage and solve operational challenges, with a focus on delivering solutions quickly and efficiently.
• Start-up/Space Industry Experience: Experience in a startup environment or the space industry is a plus but not required.
