As a Procurement Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting purchasing activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with policies and procedures. You will analyze data, monitor inventory, and address supply chain challenges while working closely with vendors and internal teams.
What You'll Do:
- Provide daily procurement support, managing vendor relations and maintaining accurate data records.
- Process purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and track inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment.
- Assist in preparing procurement budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost efficiency.
- Analyze large datasets, compile reports, and support decision-making with actionable insights.
- Maintain contract compliance by managing vendor agreements, pricing, and reporting.
- Conduct market research to assess pricing trends and new supplier options.
- Support compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring procurement procedures align with company policies.
- Coordinate product sampling, including logistics and scheduling.
- Develop and distribute RFPs/RFIs and collect relevant data for internal stakeholders.
- Take ownership of procurement responsibilities, ensuring high-quality performance and trust with internal teams.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience, preferably in food service distribution.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume tasks efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and business judgment to support company objectives.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Advanced level required); familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to travel within the U.S. and Canada as needed.
- Must be able to pass and maintain a TSA or FAA background check as required.
