Job Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist with Ingersoll Rand - Process Flow Technologies in Quincy, IL. This role: is 1 of 3 generalists on team serving as first point of contact and trusted resource for providing HR guidance & support to cross-functional salaried employees and associated leaders (approximately 150 employees supported by this role). The ideal candidate is a high-energy, self-motivated, extremely organized and detail-oriented professional with solid written and oral communications skills who enjoys working in a team environment, variety, creativity, autonomy and high levels of interaction with people. Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations:
- Works closely with leadership, HR Business Partners and employees to improve work relationships, build positive engagement, and increase productivity and retention
- Acts as employee advocate through effective employee relations
- Creates positive change through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills
- Monitors employee climate to identify issues/trends/opportunities, proposing solutions/changes, where needed
- Drives and enables cultural transformation to support an employee ownership mentality
- Counsels management and employees regarding policies and procedures
- Provides guidance and participation in performance improvement processes as well as employee issues, concerns or complaints
- Recruitment: manages onboarding process including pre-employment testing, new hire paperwork, orientation, HRIS entry
- HRIS:
- Maintains Success Factors Human Resources Information System employee database and files.
- Communication/Training: Deploys HR plans, processes, programs and policies aligned with business objectives, including organizational design, succession planning, talent management/acquisition, goal alignment/performance management, employee engagement and communications
- Partnership:
- Collaborates with local HR business partners to share best practices, critical needs issues, and local site and sector initiatives.
- Benefits: Assists employees with benefits issues, annual open enrollment process, wellness on-site annual screenings
- Safety:
- Ensures EHS compliance requirements are met, including submission of Worker's Comp claims
- Assists in the identification of safety training needs and ensuring response programs are in place
- Other responsibilities as assigned or required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or in pursuit of receiving Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
Core Competencies:
- Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to work independently to prioritize and pivot to meet the changing needs of the organization and collaborate effectively within HR and business teams.
Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- SHRM-CP or SCP is a plus
- SAP Success Factors experience preferred
- Sound judgment and problem solving ability with strong relationship building skills.
- Expertise in employee relations
- Excellent communication skills
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements This position will be primarily onsite with some flexibility. Pay Range The pay range for this role is 62,000-80,000. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
