Position Description:
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for day-to-day oversight of all activities of the Information Technology (IT) Department and ensures the proactive, effective, efficient and secure day-to-day operation of all IT systems and capabilities. Provides direction for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with company goals.
Essential Functions:
Participates in the strategic planning process.
Directs and supervises the IT Groups and staff.
Leads IT operational planning to achieve goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
Provides insights, mentoring and technical oversight to IT Security, IT Applications, IT Operations and IT Data Management leaders.
Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to understand business challenges & identify opportunities for AI/ML-driven solutions.
Provide oversight for the end-to-end design and development of a data warehouse with external vendor support, including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and integrations from multiple data sources (APIs, databases, etc.).
Provides input into the annual operating planning process.
Provide sound and insightful advice to leadership on Information Security leveraging a deep working understanding of Information/Cyber Security and related compliance regulations such as DFARS 252.204.7012 (NIST 800-171)
Assists in the establishment and maintenance of IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
Influences decisions at an organizational level on procedures and standards for extremely complex and diverse data processing and communications network; acts with high degree of independence to establish and modify priorities.
Directs and monitors development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Assists in the creation and management of the IT Roadmap to address the needs of the business today and into the future.
Coordinates and facilitates consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
Establish, analyze, and review IT performance metrics to determine if department is achieving success in Key Performance Indicators.
Approves, prioritizes, and controls projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
Ensures IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
Supervises recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
Maintains good relationships between internal IT resources, departments and external entities.
Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advises and educates executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
In VP, Information Technology's absence, takes on overall leadership of the department.
Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Works with the Data Manager to establish data governance policies for the collection, organization, storage, and analysis of ATI data, ensuring its accuracy, security, and availability.
Works with the Software Development Manager to ensure software projects are delivered on time, meet high quality standards, and align with overall technical strategy and business objectives.
Additional Responsibilities:
Serves on Governance Committees to support oversight of IT.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ph D plus 2 years, Masters plus six years or BS in the field of computer science or Information Systems and/or 8+ years applicable work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and/or directing IT staff preferred.
- Previous experience in Information Security within a U.S. Government contractor organization.
- Experience in IT project/program management with an understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, data architectures and analytic/reporting platforms.
- Advanced IT Security certification(s) such as CISSP preferred.
- Understanding of complex 24x7x365 IT operations required.
- Understanding of Software Applications Life Cycles strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership abilities are required.
- Experience in operational planning and execution required.
- Previous experience in the design and implementation of enterprise information security policies, processes, and procedures.
- Understanding of identification and mitigation of IT risks.
- Experience in Governance of IT Organizations preferred.
- Experienced in IT configuration control.
- Influences decisions at an organizational level on procedures and standards for extremely complex and diverse data processing and communications network; acts with high degree of independence to establish and modify priorities.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT required.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively in written and spoken form to broad internal and external entities including non-technical executives, corporate officers, all associates, product and service vendors.
- Must be a U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization, or a green card lawful U.S. permanent resident, or a political asylum seeker in the U.S.
- Must successfully pass a background check to access sensitive information and automated systems.

Anticipated salary is in range commensurate with education and experience:
