Job Title: Director, Program Management (Operations Transformation)
Position Overview:
The Director of Program Management (Operations Transformation) is responsible for leading and managing large-scale, high-impact transformation initiatives within the manufacturing sector. This role involves developing strategic plans, optimizing resource allocation, and engaging with key stakeholders, including executive leadership. The Director ensures that transformation projects align with the organization's broader goals, drive meaningful outcomes, and deliver on key performance metrics, particularly in manufacturing transformation.
How you will do it
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement project strategies that align with the organization's long-term goals and objectives. Collaborate with executive leadership to define project scope and deliverables.
* Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring all team members are aligned and motivated to achieve project goals.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, and partners, to facilitate communication and manage expectations.
* Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation and budget management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget constraints. Make adjustments as necessary to optimize resource utilization.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure project continuity.
* Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project progress. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status and performance.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards and align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
* Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers and team members, fostering professional development and enhancing project management capabilities within the organization.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project outcomes and implementing lessons learned in future projects.
What we look for
* Education: Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Experience: A minimum of 10 years of total project management experience, including significant exposure to large transformation projects in manufacturing, with experience in managing operations transformation programs.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align project goals with organizational objectives.
* Strong Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on team building, mentorship, and conflict resolution.
* Advanced Communication: Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
* Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiation and conflict resolution, with the ability to navigate challenging situations and reach mutually beneficial outcomes.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making skills to assess project performance and drive improvements.
Working Conditions:
* May require occasional travel for project meetings, site visits, or stakeholder engagement.
Preferred
* Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or equivalent certifications
* Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
