What is the opportunity?

Responsible for providing the business with financial information to make strategic decisions. This involves metrics reporting to track success of programs, forecasting products and programs to provide estimated impact, financial analysis on profitability of current products and more. There will also be communication with business leaders and building out presentations to review financial data. It will provide the opportunity to be a part of strategic initiatives and understand how senior leaders make critical decisions.

What will you do?

  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing relevant data.
  • Prepare and deliver executive level presentations regarding data analysis and financial projections.
  • Translate and summarize complex analysis into understandable, compelling information and recommendations that directly drive effective business strategy.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis on ad-hoc requests related to product and service pricing, business performance and strategic initiatives by working with subject matter experts and senior managers.
  • Participate in various business initiatives and projects, providing appropriate financial perspective and recommendations.
  • Provide expert consultative guidance for initiating strategic long-range goals and objectives.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently, to deliver against key business initiatives.
  • Take initiatives and drive each project to completion with minimal guidance while effectively managing multiple projects at a time.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and 6-8 years of financial analysis experience
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and analyze financial data to identify trends and insights. Basic problem-solving skills to address issues and support decision-making.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and key decision makers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SQL, Alteryx or Tableau Prep.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have:

  • Strong financial services or banking background.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.
  • Expert in building presentation materials.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $65,000 - $115,000 depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
