Overview

Shift: Full Time Days

  • Regional Area consists of multiple Home Health Care Centers in LA, MS, AR, OK, TX, and single locations in KS and MO.)
  • Registered Nurse (preferred)

Attractive Pay

  • Minimum Salary: $100,000
  • Maximum Salary: $120,000

Responsible for working directly with Care Center as assigned, temporarily filling open care center leadership positions, and taking responsibility and accountability for the position assigned. Provides direction and management on overall organization and direction of care center operations and functions, according to approved policies, procedures, and standards.


Responsibilities

  • Performs assessment of administrative systems and procedures and provides written and verbal report of findings.
  • Works under the direction of the AVPC and AVPO on assigned care center identified problems and deficiency resolution.
  • Identifies educational needs based on care center assessment, or the care center's stated needs, and conducts in-services as appropriate.
  • Communicates to AVPC and AVPO any compliance concerns identified with the Medicare Conditions of Participation and ACHC accreditation.
  • Serves as a liaison among the governing body, professional advisory group, and professional and business staff.
  • Ensures evaluation of all care center programs and staff.
  • Communicates with Corporate Compliance any reportable findings or issues identified in a care center that would potentially put a patient or the Company at risk.
  • Provides recommendation for improved systems and procedures and increased efficiency of operations in assigned care center.
  • Coordinates and supervises orientation related to documentation and quality improvement for new administrative employees.
  • Works with AVPC and AVPO to provide new Directors of Operations orientation and ongoing training.
  • Assists with temporary coverage of the Director of Operations role as needed.
  • Assists with the interview process and orientation of new administrative employees as requested by AVPO and VPO.
  • Monitors the fiscal condition of the agency and ensures adequate resources.
  • Assists in investigation and resolution of complaints.
  • Advises administrative staff on personnel matters when assigned to a care center.
  • Evaluates and analyzes office functions and makes suggestions for improvement.
  • Promotes a spirit of cooperation and teamwork while working in group settings.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required-
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (preferred), Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist in all state(s) assigned to work by the Company. Employee in this role is only able to provide clinical guidance in states in which the employee possesses a current, unencumbered license. May possess either a single state license in each non-compact state and/or a compact license in their state of residence that is accepted in all Nurse License Compact (NLC) participating states.
    • Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) documents the following: The mutual recognition model of nurse licensure allows a nurse to have one license (in his or her state of residency) and to practice in other states (both physical and electronic), subject to each state's practice law and regulation. Nurses must legally reside in a NLC state to be eligible to have a multi-state license. See list of Nurses Licensure Compact States (NLC).
  • One (1+) year clinical experience, preferably in Home Health.
  • Working knowledge of Home Health Federal, State, and ACHC regulations and reimbursement.
  • Expertise in personnel management, leadership, and financial management.
  • Expressed interest in details of documentation and quality.
Preferred-
  • Competent user of Homecare Homebase computer program.
