ERG is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in facilities planning in accordance with Department of Navy requirements (or in lieu of that, knowledge of Department of Defense requirements). This role requires expertise in managing facilities planning projects from inception to delivery, including oversight during planning, design, and construction. Desired skills applicable to the planning phase include space optimization, occupancy planning, and facility layout design.

Job Description:
  • Lead facility planning projects from conceptualization through completion, ensuring adherence to DoD standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop space optimization and occupancy plans.
  • Oversee and manage the development of facility layouts, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Review building designs and specifications for adherence to building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure projects meet all safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to drive the successful delivery of planning and design phases.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide strategic guidance on space planning and facility utilization to improve overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or any Facilities Management discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in DoD facilities planning, design, construction, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in interpreting and implementing building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and overseeing facilities planning projects from inception to delivery.
  • Proficiency in space optimization, occupancy planning, and facility layout design.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
