WHAT'S NEW WITH APTAR
We have an exciting position open in Mukwonago, WI:Toolroom Manager, reporting to the Director of Operations. The Toolroom Manger, ensures mold fleet is maintained, repaired, and improved within allotted schedules and budgets, achieving on-time repairs at world-class cavitation levels in a safe, efficient, environment. Selects, trains, develops, and leads staff to meet KPIs. Works closely with other departments (Ex.: Engineering, Production, Quality, Scheduling, etc.) as a part of plant's leadership group to meet and exceed objectives.
THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS
- Manages all Tool room activities and personnel including execution of Tooling Preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance plans of all internal and external tooling.
- Manage State apprenticeship program
- Manage sampling lab and personnel
- Ensures EHS+S is effective and an integral part of culture resulting in a safe, clean, organized Tool Room
- Selects, trains, develops, and leads staff to meet goals in 24/7 environment
- Maintains, repairs, rebuilds, and improves mold components, hot runners, and overall molds with Tool Room staff and outside vendors
- Develop and constantly improves Preventative/Predictive Maintenance program
- Effectively applies Lean Principles and Aptar Best Practices
- Purchases and updates state-of-the-art equipment and tools
- Effectively interfaces all other departments and leadership team to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
- Working knowledge of SQF and GMP procedures
- Effective spare parts management, documentation, project management, and budget management
- All other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING ON THE JOURNEY
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years of tool and die and leadership experience in a high-cavitation injection molding environment and actively working towards earning Degree.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of injection molding experience with supervising responsibility or a tool and die journeyman status.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven technical capabilities and troubleshooting skills with high-cavitation, close tolerance, fast cycle molds
- Preventive and predictive maintenance knowledge and experience
- Organizational and project management skills
- Training and development skills
- Supplier management skills
- Good computer, MRP/SAP-ALM related skills
- Lean Principles (5S, SMED, Standard Work, CI, Poka-Yoke etc.)
- Flexibility and ability to change directions quickly is a must.
