Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager in Dallas, Texas
- Coordinate schedule and budget information and must be able to identify when the need to intervene arises
- Ability to review project documents (drawings, specifications, RFI's, schedules, etc.) and evaluate the completeness for the respective phase of design and/or construction
- Responsible for managing the quality of the project(s) and manage facility to ensure successful completion as it relates to "on time" and within budget
- Coordinate the efforts of all Project Team members regarding the delivery of their individual construction phase services.
- Provide contract administration, including acting as a representative of client and to establish and implement coordination procedures between the client, general contractors, and other members of the Project Team.
- Provide ongoing monitoring of the construction activities of all the Project Team.
- Coordinate Project Team efforts to expedite solutions to field condition problems to minimize delays and cost increases.
- Coordinate with the client and other team members to establish and implement procedures for submittals, change orders, payment requests and other construction-related procedures and shall maintain necessary logs, files, and other documentation.
- Expedite change orders, payment requests, submittals and information processed from the general contractor to client and/or design team member, and from the design team member and/or client to the general contractor.
- Coordinate and expedite communication and documentation regarding submittals, requests for information, architect's supplemental instructions, and other information necessary for general contractors to efficiently pursue the completion of individual projects.
- Participate in on-site progress meetings.
- Due diligence to discover work that is not in compliance with the contract documents.
- Monitor the quality of the general contractor's work and coordinate quality assurance for the project.
- Coordinate the technical inspection and testing services.
- Update and maintain the project schedule by incorporating all in-progress adjustments and shall distribute the updated project schedule
- Review the progress of construction with the general contractor, observe work in place and properly stored materials monthly, and evaluate the percentage complete of each construction activity as indicated in the construction schedule.
- Prepare and distribute monthly construction schedule updates.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience on vertical projects.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management or related field and 10 years of project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing project cost/budget, scope, schedule, and resources, managing vendors, and overseeing formal planning, tracking, and reporting project performance.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or program management role.
