Opportunity at a Glance

Reporting to the Campus President II, the DCO oversees all operational components of an assigned group of campuses in order to advance campus business and student experience goals. Leads the development, coordination, and execution of the student experience strategy in partnership with the academic and operations teams.

Areas of responsibility include student retention/persistence, progression outcomes, student engagement in co-curricular activities, data analysis and management, forecasting, budget and finance, IT, security and incident command, marketing and events, vendor and third-party relations, facility support, and clinical coordination. Through direct or dotted line oversight, this role will supervise the following positions: Operation Coordinators, IT Specialists and Clinical Coordinators. Drives university strategies at campus level through coordination and collaboration with national and regional team members.

Responsibilities

Alliance Responsibilities: (Responsibilities include home campus as well as other campuses within the alliance)

  • Oversight of , successful articulation and execution of a student success strategy including the identification and planning for high risk students.
  • Responsible for achieving campus goals for cohort retention, session to session persistence and graduation rates.
  • Serves as the point of contact with national teams for admissions, student services, retention, marketing, registrar services and clinical coordination.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance in operations.
  • Monitors campus financial performance for P&L, develops and implements strategies to meet or exceed financial goals, and prepares budget reports for the Campus President and national finance team.
  • Hires and on-boards operations staff.
  • Collects and analyzes data on local market factors impacting student success. Works closely with national marketing team to ensure resources are leveraged for local market conditions.
  • Coordinates campus alumni strategy.
  • Appoints Title IX Deputy and ADA Coordinator for campus and ensures training is completed.

Campus Responsibilities (Responsibilities specific to home campus)

  • Serves as the campus Incident Coordinator (IC), including emergency preparedness, managing SIREN alert system and business continuity planning.
  • Plans and provides a superior, caring environment through effective student-centered activities covering the entire student lifecycle, such as Experience Nursing Da, NSO, Career Fairs, Town Halls, Grad Fests and Graduation Ceremonies. Collaborates with executive team for the provision of campus culture and student engagement for strong campus metrics. Provides operational leadership for student organizations.
  • Supervises IT and works with local and national team members to maintain effective, timely and up to date service delivery.
  • Point of contact for facility management including relationships with landlords, co-located businesses and facilities vendors.

Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or other appropriate Masters degree preferred.
  • Five years' solid business experience in an operations role, preferably in college, campus-based operations.
  • Three years' experience in a leadership role in either education or healthcare required.
  • Preference given to candidates with demonstrated success with student retention in diverse student environments.
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to problem solve and make decisions.
  • Outstanding presentation skills including the ability to make conclusions through the analysis of data.
