Job Title: Warehouse Team Lead

Location: Russellville, AR


PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The primary objective of this position is to lead the warehouse team safely and achieve inventory and shipping accuracy at the Russellville XPS Foam Plant.

This role is accountable for daily warehouse performance.

As a warehouse team member, you will have many opportunities to extend your skill base and will be expected to accept responsibility and be accountable for contributing to the successful operation of the plant. We expect pride in workmanship and team involvement in ensuring a safe environment, eliminating waste, and working together to solve problems, make decisions and improve operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Model for Plant Safety Culture



  • Uphold warehouse safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure incident reporting is completed by the team in a timely manner.
  • Drive reduction of Warehouse Risk Profile score through improvement projects
  • Actively participate in and follow requirements for vehicle and pedestrian interactions in warehouse.
  • Forklift Safety Program Owner



Drive Warehouse Productivity




  • Lead warehouse huddle communications
  • Coordinate team in planning shipping and receiving activities.
  • Drive team toward plant performance targets of inventory cycle counting, inventory accuracy, loading accuracy.
  • Act as first escalation contact for all warehouse items.
  • Deliver warehouse summaries to Controller/Warehouse Leader



Advanced Problem Solving




  • Accountable for troubleshooting and resolving warehouse issues.
  • Maintain and update warehouse training documentation.


  • Actively work to improve all areas of the warehouse daily.
  • Follow-up on training plans for all members in the warehouse
  • Alignment with Operations and Quality



Invigorate and Strengthen Culture




  • Collaboration and professionalism in interactions with carriers, suppliers, corporate warehouse leaders, transportation support specialist, and customer service
  • Model the desired Russellville Team culture for other employees.
  • Conduct daily informal touch-base conversations with each member of warehouse.
  • Provide coaching feedback for each member of warehouse regularly.
  • Initiate team meetings and discussions as necessary to ensure good communication and alignment.
  • Ensure warehouse is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Have flexibility as to daily responsibilities to fill in best where is needed in the warehouse.


All other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Safe work history
  • Dependable attendance record
  • Strong performance record
  • History of accountability for actions
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver immediate performance feedback for all warehouse personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and raise performance of all warehouse personnel

  • SAP Competency
  • Maintains poise under pressure and readily demonstrates an optimistic nature
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Strong ability to learn and speak to multiple Gresham process areas
  • Forklift operation experience


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES



  • Ability to work overtime when pre-authorized & required
  • Ability to earn Hazard Recognition Certification
