Purpose The Expeditor is responsible for keeping Bag Machines supplied with film, commodities, and monogram printer set-up and operation. II. Duties Safe work practices must be followed when performing all duties. Wear all required PPE. Supply bag machines with film, commodities, such as tape, powder and cartons Keep bag machines supplied with commodities, such as tape, powder and cartons. Fold cartons for all bag machines. Set up monogram printer on each order according to standard procedure. While operating printer, periodically check for print quality, viscosity, and color of ink. Disassemble, clean and lubricate monogram printers. Troubleshoot problems with monogram printers. Understand and follow cleaning schedules, (including vacuuming, sweeping and cleaning the Monogram printer station). Maintain the printed film inventory in the WIP computer system and issue film to orders Understand and support quality requirements of the company. Follow all JSA's and Product Safety guidelines as determined by the company. Know and maintain Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSIs) Follow and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Operate a vacuum hoist and strap when stacking cartons on pallets in pack off. Using computer, key in pieces, scan out cartons in packoff, and close out orders. Use pallet jack and an electric hand truck safely. Assist/relieve co-workers in testing bags (burst and hot water), record all test values on paperwork. Perform clearance work on tagged cartons. On occasion, job duties other than those specifically listed above will be assigned. III. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and exert up to 50 lbs. of pressure. Must not be sensitive to inks, solvents or powder. Push or pull with up to 75 lbs. of force on a rare basis when moving products. Generate up to 65 lbs. of grip strength on a rare basis with each hand while handling products. Generate up to 15 lbs. of pinch strength on a rare basis with each hand while handling products. Display average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasks. Stoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling products. Reach forward and to the side on occasional basis when handling products. Stand for at least 8 hours. Climb steps on a rare occasion. Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 8 hours.
