Supervisor, Laboratory

Job Overview:

The Lab Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Clinical Laboratory Scientist, technicians, and laboratory assistants, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of hematology tests and results.

• Ability to monitor turnaround time, maintain quality control, investigate and resolve QA issues or discrepancies
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs
• Perform validation study and analyses as needed by reviewing and verifying test results ensuring accuracy and precision
• Maintain accurate records or test results, quality control and laboratory procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements
• Implement best practices to enhance laboratory operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies CAP, CLIA, DOHNJ, and TJC

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science
• 2-5 years of direct experience in the field of clinical laboratory of an acute care hospital
