Overview The Talent Acquisition Specialist at the Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University (ODU) plays a vital role in recruiting top talent to support the institution's mission as an academic health center, which includes a multi-specialty medical group. This position is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing of highly qualified candidates for faculty, clinical, and staff roles. Works collaboratively with the HR Client Partner to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience. The specialist partners with hiring managers and leverages AI to develop and execute effective talent acquisition strategies while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and adherence to equal employment opportunity and diversity hiring best practices. Responsibilities 1. Recruitment Strategy & Planning
Collaborate with hiring managers, HRBPs, COEs to assess talent needs and develop recruitment strategies.

Qualifications Requirements (Skills-Based) * Proficiency in the full Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Demonstrated ability to utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and AI. * Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best hiring practices. * Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with various stakeholders. * Ability to analyze hiring trends and make data-driven recruitment decisions. * Meticulous with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously. * Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a challenging environment.
