Description

Assists the Maintenance Manager in maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, machinery, buildings and facilities. Assists in obtaining estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. Responsible for preventative, safety and facility maintenance as assigned.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of printing and production equipment.
  • Maintains planned maintenance programs for production equipment and machinery.
  • Performs maintenance of the building, grounds, and plant facilities. Installs, moves, repairs, and removes equipment and utilities within the building as assigned.
  • Helps install, move, repair, and remove equipment and utilities within the building.
  • Performs monthly safety equipment checks.
  • Tends to on-call maintenance requests after normal shift hours and occasionally on weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Possess trouble shooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
  • Should be able to use a caliper and multi-meter
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the plant.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associates Degree in Facilities Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

There is a moderate risk of injury. Exposed to a combination of office and shop environments. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. Some personal protective equipment may need to be worn. Work hours are generally during normal business hours and average at least 45 hours a week. May require some additional hours if testing or unexpected maintenance is required. Consistent and regular attendance required.
