About the role

The Senior Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for planning, developing and directing global learning programs and initiatives to support Auctane's long-term goals.

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) is located in Austin, Texas.

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

About the team

The Global People Team at Auctane is dedicated to serving the needs of the business and the team members who keep it running. As a team, we work across employee relations, talent acquisition, HR operations, talent management, health and welfare benefits, HRIS, compensation, worker's compensation, performance management, learning and development, and project management. Though we're a fast-moving team with a lot of responsibilities, we work together to ensure that every aspect of an employee's experience is thoughtfully considered and weighed against the values of the organization. We support five offices located in Poland, Spain, UK, Australia, and the USA.

What will you be doing?



  • Design comprehensive training programs, including course outlines, learning objectives, and instructional materials, considering various delivery methods like classroom training, eLearning modules, and blended learning approaches.
  • Program/project manage company-wide initiatives including program communications.
  • Monitor the success of programs and how well employees are applying their learning
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and webinars, utilizing effective teaching methods like role-playing, group discussions, and case studies.
  • Use digital tools to create learning programs and publish learning materials
  • Manage resources and allocate budgets across projects, and monitor risk
  • Evaluate the performance of HR programs and report on program performance
  • Conduct analysis to identify skill gaps and training requirements across different departments and levels within the organization through surveys, interviews, and consultations with managers.
  • Develop training materials such as presentations, handouts, workbooks, simulations, and videos to enhance learning engagement.
  • Track training effectiveness by evaluating participant feedback, assessing knowledge retention, and monitoring behavioral changes post-training.
  • Stay updated on current trends in instructional design, adult learning theories, and emerging technologies to incorporate into team best practices


What are we looking for?



  • 5+ years of related learning and development experience in multinational companies
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Proven ability to lead group discussions, facilitate workshops and create a positive learning environment
  • Ability to organize and manage training projects from execution, including timelines and budgets
  • Ability to interpret data to evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong track record of building credibility with executives & managers
  • Strong background of working across multiple teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
