Software Engineer II

This position requires a flexible individual with experience in rapid new product development. The team is responsible for rapid development, demonstration, and initial product rollout. This position requires an individual familiar with all phases of product development and deployment to include changing requirements, hardware, software, mechanical integration dependencies, field testing, and configuration management. The individual in this position needs to design and implement modular software that supports a product line with different features and at different levels of maturity.

• Application development is in C, C++, Python, and includes embedded software development
• Support the testing, debugging, and integration of the embedded hardware and/or software solutions
• Support all phases of detailed system and subsystem development activities for embedded applications, including upfront analysis, prototyping, end-item development, and evaluation in laboratory and field test environments
• Sustainment of software development environment across multiple ARM-based processors
• Work within a multi-discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products
• Analysis of measured data from laboratory and/or field testing. Comparison of expected performance or truth data to actual measured performance
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams locally and across physical locations

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or a related field
• Embedded Software development
• Iterative development
• Possess excellent organizational and communications skills
• Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with radar, SIGINT, and/or electronic warfare product development
• Experience with RF systems and computer networking.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
• Experience in managing online repositories such as GitHub
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment.
• Experience developing software for DoD customers.
• Familiar with virtualization like VMs and Docker
