JOB SUMMARY

This position will assist international students, post-doctoral researchers, exchange faculty, and their families to seamlessly relocate to UT Southwestern Medical Center for work. Position provides expertise in all aspects of moving, relocation timelines based on visa requirements, obtainment of essential services such as social security cards, driver licenses, temporary and or permanent housing, dependents schools and dependent's employment opportunities.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required
  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in social science, Humanities, English, or related field. Must possess U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency, as mandated by federal regulations.
  • Experience

  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred
  • Experience

  • 3 years of international relocation consultant experience and

    3 years of data intake, survey creation, and relocation record maintenance experience or

    3 years in Business, Marketing, or Real Estate background with practical experience and strong street smarts in navigating local resources. Prior experience working with international students, scholars and faculty or

    3 years experience working with community services such as banking, social security card and drivers license obtainment, and housing strongly preferred

JOB DUTIES
  • Meets with international recruits to assess their needs and preferences regarding relocation, including housing, schooling, and cultural integration.
  • Creates relocation surveys to assess the effectiveness of the relocation program.
  • Monitors and maintains detailed records of relocation activities and establish improvement metrics based on survey feedback from international recruits experiences.
  • Provides guidance and support to international recruits including pre-relocation live events and briefing calls.
  • Responds to inquiries, emails, and concerns regarding relocation, addressing questions, complaints, and challenges.
  • Serves as the primary contact for the International recruits throughout the relocation process.
  • Proactively communicate with property managers to resolve issues when feasible or applicable.
  • Assists with travel timelines based on visa requirement start date and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of International Student onboarding and orientation.
  • Coordinates a range of community services such as establishing bank accounts, utility set-up services, local area orientation, childcare providers, pet registration, language support, and dependent school enrollment.
  • Identifies suitable housing options for temporary or permanent needs that meet the specific needs of the international recruit.
  • Assists with lease negotiations and understanding of rental agreements.
  • Provides guidance with community integration, such as connecting families with local groups or activities and organizing meet-and-greet events or workshops to foster community ties.
  • Conducts follow-up check-ins to ensure smooth transitions and address any ongoing needs and offer continued assistance for any relocation-related issues that may arise post-move.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
