We are seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to lead the development and management of compensation strategies within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing job pricing, market analysis, pay structures, and short- and long-term incentive plans and profit sharing. This role will also manage executive compensation, pension and 401(k) administration, and ensure compliance with labor laws. The Compensation Manager will work closely with business leadership to align compensation strategies with organizational goals while driving a competitive compensation structure.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Management:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive compensation strategies, including job pricing, market analysis, and pay structures.
  • Lead the design and administration of short-term and long-term incentive plans and profit sharing for both executives and employees.
  • Ensure alignment of compensation strategies across regions, including managing international salary reviews.
  • Oversee annual salary reviews and recommend adjustments based on market trends and company performance.
  • Lead international compensation analysis to ensure competitiveness and equity within the organization.

Payroll Support:

  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure that all payroll-related data and changes are accurately updated in the appropriate systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with labor laws, and integration with compensation systems.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

Compensation Plan Management:

  • Oversee defined contribution and benefit plans for the US and Canada.
  • Administer Profit Sharing plans for the US and Canada.
  • Manage international and country-specific compensation plans.

Organizational Development:

  • Establish and lead a Compensation Center of Expertise to support HR and business leadership.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to refine compensation structures and job descriptions.

Analytical and Strategic Functions:

  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on market data, compensation trends, and internal compensation metrics and analytics.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align compensation practices with organizational objectives and employee retention strategies.
  • Work closely with management to prepare compensation reports for the company's Board of Directors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 6-10 years of progressive experience in compensation management, retirement savings plans and executive compensation.
  • Strong knowledge compensation best practices.
  • Proven experience managing annual salary reviews, compensation strategies, and incentive programs.
  • Experience working with external consultants and managing compensation surveys.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing compensation across different countries or understanding local tax laws preferred.
  • Experience in managing employee benefits preferred.
