This position requires to be working in office, 3 days per week, from our Bala Cynwyd, PA office. Overview The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading our recruitment function and developing and executing best-in-class recruitment strategies that attract and retain top talent across both field and corporate operations. This position will work closely with senior leadership to develop comprehensive talent strategies aligned with our business objectives and growth plans. This leader will oversee a team of recruiting professionals, including indirect leadership of geographically aligned field recruiters, ensuring that we build and maintain a strong Employee Value Proposition, while leveraging data-driven insights and networking expertise to enhance our hiring process. This leadership role is responsible for optimizing the recruitment process, improving the overall candidate experience, and elevating the quality of hires. Duties & Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop a team of corporate and field recruiters to ensure high performance and continuous growth. Establish best practices and standard operating procedures for the recruitment function company wide.
- Strategic Direction: Drive a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with business objectives through direct collaboration with executive leadership. Develop long-term talent forecasting and pipeline development to support company growth initiatives.
- Employer Branding: Develop and promote a compelling employer brand both internally and externally. Lead initiatives to establish Pep Boys as an employer of choice in the market through strategic brand positioning, recruitment marketing, and candidate experience optimization.
- Executive Recruitment: Partner closely with corporate leadership to attract and hire executive level positions. Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on all talent acquisition matters and market trends.
- Leverage HR analytics and people data to inform hiring strategies and improve recruitment effectiveness.
- Vendor Management and Internal Partnerships: Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring optimal service and ROI.
- Internal Partnerships: Build relationships with internal COEs and stakeholders to develop candidate profiles.
- Best Practices Development: Continuously research, develop, and implement recruitment best practices that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the talent acquisition function. Stay current with industry trends and innovative recruitment methodologies.
Director will have: Direct leadership of 1 manager and 1-2 recruitment professionals Indirect leadership of a team of recruiters across the country Experience and Credentials:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in Talent Acquisition
- 5 - 8 years of supervisory experience
- Expert networking and interviewing skills
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management and optimizing external recruitment partnerships
- Expertise in building strong branding and creating compelling candidate value propositions
- Mastery of collaborative and influential communication skills
- Expertise in building internal and external partnerships to identify optimal channels for attraction and hiring talent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience in talent acquisition leadership, able to lead the recruitment function, and act as a strategist.
- Exceptional people management and development skills.
- Strong background in corporate recruiting, including executive level positions.
- Experience in high-volume recruitment environments (hourly, retail, or similar).
