OverviewOverview Halo Studios is the developer of the blockbuster Halo series of video games. As part of Xbox Game Studios, the Halo franchise encompasses games, television series, novels, comics, licensed collectibles, apparel and more. We are looking for new Spartans to join our team to build the next generation of games and experiences in our award-winning sci-fi universe. Do you understand modern console/PC games and have experience with live service games? Do you closely collaborate with teams to drive inspiring, cohesive gameplay experiences? Are you interested in Halo and want to preserve what makes it unique-while brimming with ideas to evolve an experience that millions of players love? If so, the Halo team would love to speak with you about becoming our next Art and Outsourcing Manager! The Art Manager plays a vital role at Halo Studios, functioning as a communication hub for our internal art teams and partner teams. You will be a deeply organized individual with a keen interest in optimizing workflows and building first-class communications. You will have experience dealing with teams on multiple continents, in different time zones with different management styles or communication methods. You will have a deep appreciation and experience of asset creation and world building in a modern game environment and be able to move assets between depots, load content into test scenes and write detail, quality orientated feedback for both internal and external staff. You will build relationships with the production team, art leads and partner teams across the studio to help provide feedback and collaborate on our content library. You will need a firm grasp of the practical aspects of content creation to assist the team in bringing that vision to life. Roles at our studio are flexible, and you can work from home up to two days a week (Thursday and Friday) in this role. ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities Work closely with the Art leads, Concept Artists, and the production team to define a communication strategy and provide direction and feedback to partner teams. Develop and maintain a high understanding of the game universe and the constraints of technology. Actively seek out and incorporate feedback from leads and peers in the asset creation teams and provide feedback in kind. Load, review and where possible fix content or write detailed feedback for content creation partners. Write documentation on feedback loops and Top-tier content sharing inside the studio Be able to manipulate content inside of DCCs Provide guidance and mentorship to earlier-in-career artists and assist in providing direction to external partners as necessary. Participate in creative discussions, brainstorms, and reviews across teams to facilitate and strengthen cross-disciplinary collaboration. This role requires 60% (Mon-Wed) onsite work.
