Position Summary:

As our Manufacturing Engineer, you will be a part of a knowledgeable and well-diverse engineering team who loves to have fun and get stuff done! You will play a key role in overseeing engineering design specifications and other engineering processes. You'll enjoy working in a fun, collaborative, and fast (high-mix/low-volume) manufacturing operation.

Qualifications & Requirements:



  • Must know how to apply Engineering knowledge and related codes and standards in analyzing and developing effective assembly systems, generating specifications, and delivering technical presentations to clients
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience
  • Must have In-depth knowledge of highly technical engineering principles and processes in the mil/aero industry
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required

Are You Our Next ACE?



  • Direct responsibility for the Assembly Department including overseeing engineering design activities and personnel labor allocation and training
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of engineering designs, mechanical data sheets, code calculations and design specifications
  • Interview employment candidates, qualify personnel, and Conduct merit reviews when appropriate
  • Define department's engineering activity layout and design of workflow and tooling requirements
  • Enforce the 5S program, make sure all department employees are trained, and assign department audit duties
  • Supervise technical interfaces with the customer on all Engineering related issues and be responsible for processing waiver requests resulting from MRB activity or other engineering related issues
  • Interface with the customer on all quotes, process quotes in the allotted time frame agreed to with the customer and submit quote and solicit feedback from the customer
  • Work closely with materials group to ensure that all raw materials are procured in a timely manner to support the schedule requirements of the contract
  • Conduct periodic internal status meetings for all contracts, and updates the customer on any problems that cause a schedule impact along with a recovery plan to correct the problem
  • Work closely with the Value Stream Managers. Possess leadership skills to direct and train the engineering department to ensure maximum understanding and performance in all engineering aspects. Will work with three VSMs to coordinate support, production problem-solving, and technical support
  • Provide guidance on engineering processes
  • Work with other department managers to coordinate schedule and resource needs between departments
  • Provide technical advice to manufacturing regarding tooling and fixture design
  • Prepare for customer reviews and status meetings and compile presentation and coordinate activities with QA and manufacturing
  • Ensure that jobs in the department are properly transacted in the MRP system

Pay Transparency:

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $70k-$100k per year, plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
