Position Summary: #LI-CW2
The Distribution Support Manager is responsible for work with functional leaders across the Business Unit to ensure the accurate and complete capture of productivity and process changes for projects are realized. This role will work cross functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing leaders.As a member of the Central Business Unit team this person will coordinate closely with project leaders to capture business results.
This position is a remote role- Candidate must be located anywhere in the Central Region, preferably in the North Aurora, Chicago, Wisconsin areas.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and hold Analyst accountable for meeting key performance targets; executes procedures and programs to increase team productivity, team effectiveness, & quality of work.
  • Lead customer service initiatives for a next generation DC, acting as a liaison between sales operations and distribution operations.
  • Lead customer service needs working with transport partners to ensure the highest level of service
  • Works with 3PL customer service team to ensure highest level order fill meeting customer service
  • Work with Supply Chain Technology, Commercial, IT, Finance and other cross-functional stakeholders to:
  • Work as a member of a team implementing and scaling business standards and models across the business unit
  • Deep dive project impacts within BU in order to capture planned and unplanned productivity and expenses.
  • Work with finance counterparts to ensure accurate accounting of project expenses and productivity
  • Work with Business Unit partners in developing business proposals for complex multi-site projects with multiple areas of productivity.
  • Establish effective customer relationships to initiate and maximize sales in retail, restaurant, and institutional customers; ensures client retention by exceeding expectations with new and current customers.
  • Coordinate with BU productivity counterpart to drive East BU cross-functional projects and enabling projects.
  • Partner with local teams to develop and scale processes focused on order quantity and frequency as well as portfolio management.
  • Lead a team focused on driving transportation efficiencies and developing best practices to drive great safety, cost, and service performance through the transportation network.
  • Responsible for Productivity agenda and programs for Agile Supply Chain projects in the East BU
  • Focuses on product carrier, Distribution processes, and Path to Market efficiencies
  • Support distribution processes driving efficiency in bakeries, DCs, and Sales Centers
  • Lead change management efforts in the facilities
  • Work with regional and corporate counterparts to develop and scale KPI dashboards focused on Safety, Service, and Efficiency across the Supply Chain
  • Partner with BU Distribution and Manufacturing Leadership to plan and implement safety, service and cost programs that deliver world class results
  • Work as a member of the East Supply Chain team to support implementation of new software and hardware through the Supply Chain
  • Partner with Transport managers and 3PLs to improve operational visibility and support complexity reduction to improve cost and service improvement.

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of related and varied experience in Supply Chain Operations and / or Strategy
  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted (under education and experience)
  • Experience developing and implementing complex solutions
  • Cost/P&L analyses
  • Assist in preparing business cases; applying activity-based costing; using output from statistical, simulation, and optimization tools
  • Facilitating problem solving using variety of methodologies
  • Applying methodologies to understand, anticipate, mitigate risk
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools and software such as Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AS400 mainframes and Oracle databases is a plus
  • Ability to travel, visit facilities/sales centers/distribution centers within the business unit.
  • Strong analytic skills, financial literacy, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to plan & accomplish goals with limited supervision.
