This position is responsible for providing support to the Medical Director, Sr. Director of Risk Management & Donor Health, and Director of Quality Assurance.

Qualifications:



  • Fluent experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Consistent and dependable to complete assigned tasks accurately
  • Able to handle difficult situations and persons tactfully and professionally
  • Ability to speak and hear clearly without impediment while on the telephone
  • Business writing skills
  • Excellent ability to understand and use software relevant to the position


Responsibilities:




  • Run reports and prepare donor/hospital letters. Mail Notification Letters and follow-up. Enter comment(s) and enter/update deferrals in ABO Express. Enter Incident Reports into the BCx/WebEnvision reporting system. Report positive test results to applicable states. Manage requests for donor test results



  • Review DHQs for completeness and accuracy. Contact donors with discrepancies on the DHQ. Communicate with the lab the status of the lot release process. Investigate duplicate donors



  • Responsible for writing, updating, and/or reviewing departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Review of blood center policy, procedures, SOPs, or other documentation to ensure compliance with FDA, AABB, and other standards and regulations



  • Participate in the Safety Committee. Conduct and document safety inspections



  • Complete Medical Evaluation Forms and track until completion



  • File records in donor alpha files and responding to donor inquiries



  • Create/perform reviews of QMS events to ensure that the safety, quality, identity, potency and purity of blood products is maintained


  • Assists and assures high levels of internal and external customer service by completing additional tasks as assigned


Pay and hours:

Monday through Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

Starting salary at $18.53/HR based upon experience
