Position Summary

The Project Admin Coordinator, Food & Clinical Nutrition Services provides consulting and overall project management services from start to finish, supporting SMC Food & Clinical Nutrition Services functions, goals, and strategies. The position applies knowledge of business and applications to research topics, investigates problems or questions, and provides necessary information and resolution. This position manages some or all phases of one or more projects for Food & Clinical Nutrition Services. This position functions as a key point of contact and is accountable for achieving satisfactory and positive outcomes. The Project Admin Coordinator prepares reports, proposals, presentations, makes recommendations, and supports management in optimizing and improving the daily operations. They interface with business development, foundation, finance, accounting, human resources, and other key departments to solve problems and manage projects.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

1. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives within Food & Clinical Nutrition Services in collaboration with management and stakeholders.

2. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, required documentation, presentations, etc.

3. Plan, track, and schedule project milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.

4. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, devise contingency plans, and maintain effective and timely communication with team members and stakeholders.

5. Coordinates and supports meetings related to activities within the Food & Clinical Nutrition Services department, to ensure meetings are organized and documented to support partnership councils, Nutrition Value Added Team (VAT), Outpatient nutrition counseling, and other task force meetings.

6. Closely collaborates with the Director of Food & Clinical Nutrition Services as well as other department heads, coordinators, supervisors, Medical Staff, and Administration to support the Saddleback Hospital.

7. Develops and maintains reporting tools for the Food & Clinical Nutrition Services department.

8. Communicates effectively in both written and verbal forms to ensure all needs are addressed.

9. Ability to be at work and be on time.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
