Description
The BI Analyst I, Enterprise Risk performs research, data extraction and analysis, building data and analytical tools, and provides risk modeling to support risk quantification, forecasting, and reporting.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties
  • Develop financial and risk modeling specific to financial data, enterprise data as well as risk forecasting that supports critical decisions
  • Write and execute SQL and/or Python code proficiently to create and produce monthly and quarterly reporting and provide recommendations based on analysis
  • Aggregate data from multiple source systems to research and perform root cause analysis
  • Design, build, recommend, and implement infrastructure for data extraction, preparation, and loading of data from a variety of sources using SQL and AWS
  • Validate data, recognize errors, and make modifications to programs to meet changing needs and recommend changes for approval and implementation
  • Maintain the operating procedures' library and SQL and Python code for producing reports and models
  • Prepare, deliver and/or present methodology and modeling results for external regulatory reporting, senior leadership, committees, and other business units
  • Identify risk metrics to drive the business forward and turn data into valuable insights by leveraging creative solutions and communicating insights to key stakeholders
  • Transform Enterprise Risk data using data visualization techniques to convey risk data in a relevant and compelling message
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a BI/Data Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Experience applying and developing analytical methods, including data mining techniques
  • Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume peaks while producing high-quality work
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically to all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with data visualization/dashboarding tool (such as Tableau)
  • Proficiency with analytical/quantitative tools such as Python, R, or SAS
  • Proficient SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and VBA
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistical, Quantitative or related field is preferred
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 | (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $80k - $90k annually + annual bonus
