About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Unified Capability Support Specialist to join us. The Unified Capability (UC) Support Specialist provides essential services to support and sustain Unified Communications systems for the 403rd Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) and Logistic Readiness Centers (LRCs). This role involves administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and user training for Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Audio/Visual (A/V) hardware and software, as well as providing additional IT Service Desk Support as required. Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and administer strategic and tactical VTC suites, video walls, network hardware, and Multi-Control Units (MCUs).
- Respond to trouble tickets within 24 hours of receipt, ensuring all troubleshooting and coordination efforts are documented.
- Install, configure, and upgrade network hardware and software.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support services.
- Develop and deliver training materials for on-site personnel in VTC/A/V hardware and software usage.
- Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate VTC sessions and teleconferences.
- Provide Global Video Services (GVS) support, including account and room creation and facilitating connectivity between GVS and VTC systems.
- Conduct site surveys to assess configurations and user requirements, documenting findings comprehensively.
- Recommend cost-effective technical solutions and include these recommendations in Monthly Status Reports (MSRs).
- Support IT Service Desk operations during non-peak UC Support periods, including Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (can be waived with four years of continuous Unified Capabilities experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Unified Capabilities tasks, including administering or designing UC systems such as Unified Communications Manager.
- Certifications:
- DoD 8570.01-M/8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in network and VTC system administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver technical training.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Familiarity with military and government IT standards, including security protocols and reporting requirements.
Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required.
