About the Opportunity
The Custom Application Support Specialist provides essential services to develop, maintain, and enhance custom applications and web services for the 403rd Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) and Logistic Readiness Centers (LRCs). This role includes coding, application management, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with Army IT standards. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain custom applications using various coding languages, including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, jQuery, XML, and C#.
- Perform front-end development for current SharePoint platforms (2010 and 2013) and prepare for future platform upgrades.
- Troubleshoot, test, and implement solutions for application issues to maintain operational continuity.
- Ensure compliance with DoD and Army IT standards for security and information assurance.
- Provide technical support and consultation for application-related issues.
- Document all development activities, coding changes, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine application requirements.
- Participate in application lifecycle activities, including planning, implementation, and maintenance.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (can be waived with four years of continuous experience in custom application development).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in custom applications and coding tasks.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, jQuery, XML, and C#.
- Certifications:
- DoD 8570.01-M/8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification.
- One of the following:
- Microsoft Specialist Certification in Visual Studio.
- Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 (MS Exam 70-480).
- Programming in C# (MS Exam 70-483).
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong coding and programming skills in multiple languages.
- Experience with SharePoint development and maintenance.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise.
- Ability to document technical processes and system configurations accurately.
- Knowledge of Army and DoD IT standards, including cybersecurity and application compliance.
- Effective communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required.
