Network Engineer, Information Technology

As a pivotal member of the IT Infrastructure Team, you will support and maintain our robust network infrastructure. You'll be part of a team that works closely with all technology teams at NISA to ensure our network is scalable, reliable, and secure. The ideal candidate will be strong in managing network firewalls, routing, switching, and patch/vulnerability management with a strong emphasis on automation. This position requires taking a role on projects and following through to completion. Support enterprise-level network solutions, including routing, switching, and firewall configurations using vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and AWS
• Proactively secure and monitor NISA's network infrastructure, identifying and recommending upgrades based on industry best practices
• Provide support for network vulnerability remediation, participate in security audits, and collaborate on firmware and software patching efforts
• Troubleshoot network issues, optimize network configurations, and enforce best practices for network configuration
• Provide support for Cisco wireless access points and infrastructure
• Work closely with business units to understand and meet functional requirements, ensuring a stable and scalable network infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices for network infrastructure
• Develop and maintain documentation for network infrastructure and processes

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, designing, configuring, administering, and supporting IP networks, including subnets, routing, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, QoS, VOIP, TCP/IP monitoring, and troubleshooting
• 5+ years of experience with Cisco or Palo Alto Routing/Switching/Firewalls/IPS preferred
• Knowledge of networking standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures
• Experience with monitoring and diagnosing complex network, security, and systems issues using tools such as Wireshark, Datadog, and MRT
• Familiarity with current networking hardware, software and services
• Cisco CCNP or CCNP-level equivalent experience and security certifications strongly desired
• Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Git, and Github are preferred
• Experience with Cisco Wireless, Identity Services Engine (ISE), Digital Network Architecture (DNA), Application Centric Architecture (ACI), and Palo Pan-OS preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• AWS certifications are a plus
• Experience in Financial Services is a plus
