Position Overview:

Oversees the daily operation of the Donation Support team to ensure accurate and timely donor screening. Acts as a technical resource to staff. To support the company through execution of departmental projects, processes, and training. Ensure that all areas identified under "Principal Responsibilities" are accomplished in an efficient and professional manner.

Responsibilities:



  1. Provide supervison to Donation Support staff (ie. hiring, team schedules, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, time off request approvals, etc)
  2. Monitor donor screening, deferrals, and MD consults to ensure alignment.
  3. Manage training requirements and ensure they are adhered to for Donation Support staff.
  4. Assist in maintaining courier relations.
  5. Manage the CaringToShare program.
  6. Assist in the oversight of contract manufacture relations of recovery supplies.
  7. Provide support to Donation Support team by performing the following activities as needed:

    • Donor screening
    • Reimbursement activities
    • Training of new employees


  8. Maintain CTBS certification by obtaining continuing education credits.
  9. Support other tissue projects and objectives as assigned.


Qualifications:



  1. Minimum 5+ years' experience in a regulated industry with an in-depth knowledge of medical records, AATB and tissue standards.
  2. Achieved CTBS certification preferred.
  3. EMT or EMS Certificate, LPN, B.S. in a related biological field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  4. Must have working knowledge of medical terminology.
  5. Excellent customer service skills and professional phone manner.
  6. Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently.
  8. Demonstrates reliability and leadership skills.
