Scope of Work: The Sr. Billing/AR Supervisor has a strong work ethic and will perform a variety of tasks related to the finance and accounting department. The position is responsible for the Company's billing processes along with project set-up and revenue recognition policies and practices, maintenance of finance records, and the preparation of financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and federal government regulations to include FAR and CAS. The position will also be involved in the budgeting and forecasting process. The ideal candidate will be articulate, organized, dependable, polished, and comfortable in a fast paced environment. Other key attributes include a positive attitude, energy, enthusiasm, and be a hands-on self-starter. Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete array of Project Set-up and Billing related matters.
- Provide regular reports regarding the status of cash flow projections, revenue projections, outstanding aged receivables, and accounting schedule for deliverables.
- Maintain AR collections by interacting with customers/site project managers.
- Support internal and external companywide audits.
- Coordinate and manage audits in to various agencies to include DCAA audits, DCAA indirect rate submissions.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with financial institutions.
- Manage full utilization of accounting software application.
- Prepare ad hoc reports for program directors/managers that outline the company's financial position in the area of revenue, direct budgets, indirect budgets, contribution to indirect pools, based on past, present and future operations.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Consistently produces quality products and service.
- Completes all training within required timeline.
- Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Art in Accounting, Finance or relevant to discipline
- Must have a minimum of seven (7) years applicable experience as an Accountant.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of Deltek/Costpoint.
- Adept computer related skills with superior MS Office skills.
- Advanced administration skills including: planning, organizing, and follow-up on projects and assignments given to the incumbent and those for other KIRA/THTBC staff.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, supervisors and managers at all levels, as well as those from outside agencies and private companies on a professional level.
- Ability to multi-task and respond to requests in a timely manner.
- Must have a high degree of competence in grammar and in spelling with strong oral communication skills.
- Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
- Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
