Volunteers of America Oregon's Community Monitoring Program works in partnership with the Juvenile Services Division, courts, and other community-based providers to help support youth through tracking and monitoring in their community and/or home in lieu of incarceration. The Youth Monitor is responsible monitoring youth referred into the program to ensure that conditions of release are being complied with, to assess the nature of the activities of the juvenile in the community, ensuring public safety and that the youth returns to court. The Youth Monitor also provides operational and administrative support to the program, and serves as a back-up for direct service staff, Program Supervisor and the Program Director. The standard work hours are between 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm including holidays, with varying scheduled days off and occasional evening and weekend work. Work Environment: Works in office setting with moderate light, temperature and sound, frequently travels to client homes. May work with clients who are agitated.
