What is the Opportunity? Loan Operations supports retail loans, insurance, mortgage post-closing, Subservicing, HELOC servicing, Loss Mitigations and Default management and internal controls and procedures. Senior managers have supplier management responsibilities and are accountable to drive optimization and efficiencies within their teams. They also act as subject matter experts to support transformation projects and assist in the resolution of customer complaints to create an optimal client experience. Leads a team of individuals responsible for; the accurate execution of new mortgage boarding, mortgage servicing, and real estate insurance monitoring for Mortgage and HELOC product, the procurement and accuracy of mortgage loan trailing documentation. Also leads the Loss Mit and Collections activities for RBC Bank for real estate secured loans. Overall responsibility for business-as-usual operations, always seeking optimization opportunities to improve team performance and the client experience. Works with process strategy & integration to intake new processes related to business priorities and ongoing initiatives. What will you do?
Mortgage Post Closing, Servicing: Leads the team to ensure accurate and timely boarding of new mortgage loans and HELOC's as well as modifications, subordinations, and renewals for mortgages and HELOC's. Ensures L1A controls monitoring this process are also accurately executed and performed timely to mitigate operational risk reporting. As the supplier manager for mortgage SubServicer, a material supplier, ensures SLA's are well defined and achieved to deliver an exceptional client experience to support business growth. Monitors monthly invoicing to ensure it aligns to volumes, and contract pricing while looking for opportunities to reduce variable costs through process improvement and automation opportunities. Collections and Loss Mitigation: Responsible for the performance of the Loss Mit and Collections programs. Oversees third party arrangements associated with Loss Mit and Collections involving Mortgage SubServicer. Ensures REO and Foreclosure processes are followed and managed. Responsible for TDR, Non-Accrual process. Produces reports for the CRPC Credit Risk Portfolio Committee and leads discussion in that committee related to Collections and Loss Mit. Review. Real Estate Insurance: Oversees a centralized team of insurance experts in the accurate execution of flood insurance policy and procedure during the origination and renewal process for Mortgages and HELOC's. Monitors for control exceptions to ensure no technical violations of the regulation occur. Represents Loan Operations to L2 and L3 auditors in matters relating to flood insurance. Collaborates with Director Mortgage Servicing to ensure flood policy requirements are understood and adherence does not negatively impact the client experience. Act as the supplier manager for Proctor Financial Inc. Optimization & Efficiency: This role demands a leader's mindset to imagine and inspire new ways of servicing loans to improve work performance, NIE, and/or the client experience. As a result, leads small to medium sized loan improvement initiatives from requirements, through implementation and post validation. Sets and shares strategic vision for mortgage servicing. Leadership: Uses our Leadership model self-evaluate top strengths and opportunities, sets goals to align with OKR's, measures performance throughout the year via checks in. Embraces and models growth mind set by establishing an environment or learning, curiosity and innovation. Promotes a culture of accountability and ownership, diversity and inclusion.
What do you need to succeed?
10+ years banking experience Leaders' mindset for vision and strategy development Experienced people manager College Bachelor's Degree or Higher Expertise in regulatory requirements related to Insurance, loans, and mortgage. Good presentation and interpersonal skills Strategic thinking and creative passion, relationship/influence with senior leaders, excellent communication and presentation skills to large audiences, performance analytics, , people management, ability to achieve results through business partners, execution excellence.
