Corporate Gift Officer

40 Hours/Week

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Occasional Evenings and Weekends

Hybrid, 2-3 days/week onsite

Summary:

Discovers, cultivates, and solicits corporate prospects for financial support of the hospital. In this capacity, the individual is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic fundraising plan for such constituencies including, but not limited to, local corporations and local markets of national and international corporations. In addition, this individual will act as the development liaison between the Foundation and the Corporate Alliance Committee.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identifies and evaluates funding sources, with special emphasis on corporations who have major gift potential.
  2. Develops a "moves management" plan for each prospect.
  3. Establishes targets/goals and actively moves prospects along the developmental "pipeline."
  4. Work with the corporate contacts to create the fundraising/campaign program and assist in organizing and implementing.
  5. Solicits major gifts through campaigns, fundraisers and major gift projects.
  6. Develops relationships with corporations to identify executive level individual prospects for personal major gifts.
  7. Coordinates, organizes, identifies and stewards individuals who serve on committees based on their corporate relationship.
  8. Develops a strategic plan to engage, enlist and solicit members of these various committees.
  9. Takes responsibility for all correspondence, collateral, communications and other record keeping associated with these committees.
  10. Identifies and evaluates individual participants on committees with a focus on current and future donor status.
  11. Participates in strategic planning.
  12. Participates in Hospital/Development functions.
  13. Recruits staff/volunteers as required.
  14. Coordinates best practices and procedures with the Operations team regarding special events, fundraisers and campaigns.
  15. Involvement and representation on hospital wide committees.
  16. Other duties as required

                              Other information:

                              Technical Expertise:

                              1. Experience in fundraising Is required.
                              2. Experience in program management is required.
                              3. Travel and valid Ohio driver's license is required.
                              4. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
                              5. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
                              6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Database management software is required; Raiser's Edge software is preferred.

                              Education and Experience:

                              1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is required; Master's degree is preferred.
                              2. Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
                              3. Years of experience supervising: None.
