Torrance State Hospital provides inpatient services for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The hospital serves individuals with three distinct services: (1) Civil; (2) Forensic, through the Regional Forensic Psychiatric Center (RFPC); and (3) Sexual Responsibility & Treatment Program (SRTP).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the Quality Assurance Risk Management Director for Torrance State Hospital, you will provide supervision to the Hospital's Quality Assurance Risk Management program, patient care coordinators, and serve as a member of the hospital's executive staff. Specific responsibilities of this profession involve providing consultation to management regarding regulatory best practices and performance improvement techniques, including the analysis of aggregate data. You will coordinate and conduct performance improvement rounds of clinical and non-clinical areas to assess compliance with existing standards and promptly develop detailed analysis for management regarding regulatory changes that affect the hospital, including recommendations on necessary policy changes. Additional duties include coordinating a preparedness program that ensures the hospital is adequately equipped for licensure, certification, and Department of Health surveys. You will collaborate with internal managers to develop corrective action plans for any issues identified by regulatory reviews, in addition to monitoring overall compliance with approved plans of correction. This professional is also responsible for ensuring that hospital staff is informed about the annual quality assurance performance improvement goals. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hour work week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $75,678.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Coordinator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist; or
- Four years of professional experience as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team in a public or private healthcare facility, and a bachelor's degree; or
- Four years of clinical experience in a human services agency, including three years of professional, evaluative, consultative, or supervisory work in a healthcare program, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes four years of professional, evaluative, consultative, or supervisory work in a healthcare program.
Other Requirements:

Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
