Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Arcfield is growing and seeking a Systems Engineer Technical Specialist to support System Analysis for their customer's COMM Directorate. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to provide a structured approach to support technical decision making through various types of analysis to assess systems and generate data. (Please note, an offer for this position will be contingent on an awarded contract.) Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct business and mission analysis and assessments, architecture analysis and assessments, system analysis and assessments, cost benefit analysis and assessment, schedule analysis and assessments, risk, issue, or opportunity analysis and assessments, and technical measurement analysis and assessments and provide recommendations, as directed
- Conduct COMM IT, system or service capabilities assessments, including capability gap assessments, using the most current architecture information as required and deliver findings
- Support and deliver a COMM IT system or service technology roadmap that includes technology data assessments and recommended technology insertion plans as required and deliver findings
- Review and provide comments on acquisition documents within COMM to assess implementation of architectural intent
- Draft and deliver programmatic and technical artifacts related to architecture positions, studies, and analysis in accordance with reference analysis guidance
- Use data-driven or model-driven methods to support analysis, assessments, and management decisions
Qualifications
BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7 Required Qualifications:
- An Active Top Secret / SCI w/Poly Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Outstanding customer intimacy skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams as well as to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of government
- A commitment to quality, accuracy, continuous improvement, and be detailed oriented
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical audiences
- Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and critical thinking to execute mission objectives
- The ability to travel as necessary to satisfy assigned tasks
- Be comfortable and flexible with executing additional duties as assigned
- Has demonstrated a holistic approach in order to design, develop, evaluate and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle
- Has worked with interfaces that brought system elements together to work as a whole
- Has acted as a customer liaison and supporter for business development activities in order to understand and shape requirements
- Has Evaluated, designed, and improved complex systems to ensure they meet requirements, perform efficiently, and solve specific problems
- Collect and interpret data from system tests, simulations, or operational environments to validate designs or diagnose issues
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Experience designing, researching and developing highly advanced applications, which may result in new product/business opportunities for the company
- Participated in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation
- Proficient with modeling and simulation software, programming, and data analysis tools
- Has experience working for the Federal Government/IC
- Proficient with modeling and simulation software, programming, data analysis tools, statistical tools, and data visualization software
