Responsibilities
Arcfield is growing and seeking a Configuration Management Analyst IV to support Configuration Management for their customer's COMM Directorate. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to establish, control, and maintain system baselines during design, development, and operations. (Please note, an offer for this position will be contingent on an awarded contract.) Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide support for the Configuration Management (CM) of the COMM-Level, System-level, Service-level, function-level and project-level baselines
- Evaluate and assess the impact of proposed change requests to the system acquisition activities to the segment level projects
- Generate, coordinate, and track Requests for Change (RFC) to include accompanying cost impact data sheets; coordinate agendas and schedules for CM boards
- Track Service Provider Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), responses to CDRLs, and CDRL approval letters
- Review all relevant RFC documents and advise the respective COMM POC of related impacts to systems, plans or processes
- Develop and maintain resolution plans for To Be Determined (TBD) / To Be Resolved (TBR) items in the configuration-controlled documents as assigned; providing monthly status briefing on all TBX resolution plans
- Administer COMM-level and COMM Group/Office-level Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) (e.g., compiling and publishing agendas, managing escalation from lower ERBs, compiling RFCs for adjudication, addressing and tracking actions, and preparing and administering Government approved pre-briefs and briefings on top-level RFC information and CM issues)
- Prepare and assist COMM Senior Site Leads for service adjustments through the pre-coordination of impacts to the deployed operational baseline and implementing COMM's service adjustments (i.e., capacity increases, technology updates, etc.) through site working groups
- Update and maintain the COMM Configuration Management Plan
Qualifications
Required:
- BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
- Must possess and have the ability to obtain an Active Top Secret / SCI w/Poly Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Development/Management/Communications, or related field
- Outstanding customer intimacy skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams as well as to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of government
- A commitment to quality, accuracy, continuous improvement, and be detailed oriented
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and critical thinking to execute mission objectives
- The ability to travel as necessary to satisfy assigned tasks
- Be comfortable and flexible with executing additional duties as assigned
- Analyzed changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change
- Designed and established management documentation
- Authorized the release of drawings, and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups
- Performed configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable
- Designed and implemented build procedures that are used to support software product development and use
Desired:
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Experience designing, researching and developing highly advanced applications, which may result in new product/business opportunities for the company
- Developed and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products
- Designed, developed, automated, and maintained productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development
- Experience working with the Federal Government/IC
