What we're looking for:

Gartner Digital Markets' is looking for a Software Engineer to join our collaborative, Agile team. As a Software Engineer, you will work with your manager, team members and stakeholders to provide technology vision, enable innovation, and understand critical trends that will create increased business value. You will guide the team by being an experienced individual contributor to technical business initiatives, applying advanced technology knowledge and skills in assessing technical requirements and proactively directing, helping design and develop leading edge solutions. The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with product management, team members, and stakeholders across the division and Gartner.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 2-4 years of experience in implementing designs and development of new software, with a strong background in Typescript or Javascript, Next.Js and React.Js

  • Successful experience contributing to an agile team, developing and deploying software, emphasizing planning, definition, development, testing, and production implementation.

  • Ability to work independently through technical projects and produce quality results with minimal guidance

  • Experience developing high-level product specifications, while considering application performance, security and scalability.

  • Strong background with API integration and working with dynamic data structures.

  • Experience with understanding technical roadmaps and architecture diagrams to achieve product requirements and goals. Ensuring that all noted tasks are in sync with backend services and user interface changes.

  • A drive to help continuously improve processes and frameworks.

  • The ability to collaborate through a remote first approach and different time zones.

  • Driven by curiosity and the need to learn and continuing to develop.

  • You enjoy a good challenge: you are not afraid to make mistakes and quickly learn from them.

  • You aren't tied to the status quo and strive to achieve new design standards.

Nice to have:

  • Strong expertise in object oriented programming and software design principles.

  • Experience with AWS services (Lambdas)

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 74,000 USD - 113,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
