What you'll do:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive IT Project Manager to join our team to lead and drive the execution of critical projects within the IT organization. As an IT Project Manager, your primary responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure that project timelines, budgets, and goals are met. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of IT project processes.

As the IT Project Manager you'll primary responsible for planning, collaborating, and implementing any number of technology solutions within the constraints of scope, schedule, resources, and budget while ensuring compliance to the Bank's SDLC and Change Management standards. You'll partner closely with the Technical/Service Delivery Leader and Resource Managers to maximize delivery by team members, third-party contractors, or consultants. As the IT Project Manager you'll collaborate with EPMO and vendor project managers to deliver a well-defined and seamless technology solution.
  • Project management and coordination: Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to develop the scope, project plans, timelines, milestones, and risk management to ensure goals are met.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and issues along with recommendations
  • Documentation and Reporting: Track resource allocation and utilization for projects. Collect and maintain project evidence in the appropriate repository for traceability and audit purposes
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks or roadblocks and create mitigation plans
  • Define project scope, objectives, risks, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Develop a comprehensive technology plan that covers internal and external dependencies. Plans should be organized to maximize schedule while clearly setting timelines and milestones for the team to achieve.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Provide the project team with updates and statuses to mitigate risks and to rectify any issues impacting delivery of the project.

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of IT project lifecycles and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SDLC).
  • Experience using project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Workfront).
  • Excellent Communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Banking, financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Project Management Professional Certification, Scrum Master Certification (CSM), Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Fundamentals, or Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge preferred.
