Fox News Channel is seeking a multi-skilled Studio and Field Technician to join our Dallas Bureau. You must be experienced in field and/or studio work as you will provide both technical operational support at our Dallas studio and work as a Field Technician on local shoots. While in studio, you will also serve as a stage manager, robotic camera operator, and an A2 for talent and on-set guests. You will also assist field photographers during shoots. There will be opportunities within this role to travel and work alongside the field operations and field engineering teams.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be onsite for pre-production, during the live broadcast and post-production of FNC shows

• Support other Dallas Bureau technical and field operation needs

• Proactive in maintenance of studio equipment

• Work directly with the editorial show team in New York and Dallas

• Liaise directly with field engineering for in-studio maintenance and any troubleshooting

• Develop a strong understanding of the building infrastructure including HVAC, Power and ISP

• Build and maintain relationships with building management and Dallas bureau staff

• Set up and remove all mics and IFBs from guests prior to and after their appearance

• Position show cameras in pre-assigned locations during live and pre-recorded shows

• Proactively maintain the integrity of the studio and all transmission, audio, and video equipment

• Accompany field photographers on field shoots local to Dallas and develop a skill set to eventually operate a small field kit and equipment

• Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

• 2 years of experience working in a television studio operation or field environment

• Strong understanding of computers and networking both Mac's and PC's

• Good understanding of live show productions

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

• A collaborative team player who works well under pressure and with others in fast-paced dynamic environments

• Ability to plan ahead, identify possible problems, and possess strong troubleshooting skills

• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, overnights, and holidays is a must

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $24.25-41.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
