What You'll Do
Job Summary Our petrographic analysis of concrete aids in the engineering assessment of concrete structures and the investigation of material failures. A Junior Concrete Petrographer will work under an experienced Concrete Petrographer to gain knowledge in the diverse elements of evaluating cementitious materials and aggregate for a period of 5 years. Depending on the project and the employees abilities, they will take an increasing role and responsibility from sample preparation, to sample analysis, to report writing and project specific analytical investigation design at the end of the 5 years. Junior Concrete Petrographers should be technically curious, flexible and able to conduct and manage multiple tasks with varying levels of complexity with supervision. Begin to work toward managing and efficiently coordinating responsibilities, priorities, and deadlines to support the changing project needs and evolution of the laboratory.
