Position Summary The ServiceNow Product Specialist champions the user experience and operational efficiency of NYU's ServiceNow implementation across NYU's global campuses to deliver excellent service to faculty, students, and staff. Act as a bridge between diverse university stakeholders and the ServiceNow platform team, driving its design, configuration, and development. Gather and document requirements, collaborate with developers and vendors on feature implementation, conduct rigorous testing, and manage changes within an agile framework. As a ServiceNow subject matter expert, provide guidance to other NYU projects and stay current with product capabilities through continuous professional development. Provide essential application support, partnering with NYU IT teams and vendors to resolve issues and communicate effectively with end-users. Create and deliver training programs, develop self-service knowledge resources, and empower users to leverage the platform's reporting capabilities through consultations and training. Create custom ServiceNow reports and dashboards based on user needs. Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Required Experience: 3+ years of experience managing and configuring ServiceNow platforms, including familiarity with multiple modules or an equivalent combination of education and experience. relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, with systems applications, analysis, integrated systems, and providing user support service and technical support; Preferred Experience: 3+ years Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification. Experience in higher education or in a large, complex organization. Experience handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a service-oriented environment. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. Strong data analytics skills. Strong understanding of ServiceNow capabilities, workflows, and architecture. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 to USD $130,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
