Compliance Analysts execute the operational activities of a compliance program such as Immigration, Risk Management, Office of Equal Opportunity, Institutional Review Board, Athletics, and Office of Sponsored Programs. They are knowledgeable about the complex legal and regulatory issues potentially impacting University operations, and follow established protocol when dealing with compliance procedures, such as compliance reporting and document review. Analysts exercise some degree of independence and autonomy, but will seek help before handling more complex functions. The IHSSC delivers and maintains critical program components of the institution-wide travel preparedness and response strategy to promote and protect the wellbeing of the University and its students, faculty, and staff who travel internationally for university-related purposes. Within the IHSS Team, their focus is on daily, monthly, and annual routines for travel registration, traveler preparation, site and risk assessment, and intelligence monitoring and analysis. The IHSSC provides a frontline face for international health, safety, and security policies and protocols to students and program leaders and shares24/7 emergency response and incident management duties. The IHSSC participates in the development of policies and protocols, may serve as a subject-matter expert for specific topics or regions, and works collaboratively with colleagues, travelers, and partners (internal and external) to facilitate worldwide travel awareness and readiness. The IHSSC is part of the IHSS Team and closely coordinates with and reports to the IHSS Manager. The position is hybrid in Charlottesville and rotates on call 24/7 for the ISO response to critical incidents.

Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. This position is Hybrid located in Charlottesville, VA. Anticipated Hiring Range: $54,000 - $57,000 commensurate with education and experience. This is an Exempt level, benefited position.
