Job DescriptionMaintenance I - Entry - LV4 - Mold Change Salary Grade: Hourly Basic Function:Responsibility for mold change process on all machines. Safely and effectively set up and complete mold changes in a timely manner. Record data and communicate issues to appropriate personnel. Essential Function and Responsibilities:
Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the tooling supervisor. Education/Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential functions. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous experience operating or maintaining blow-molding and/or injection-molding machines preferred. Industrial Maintenance Degree strongly preferred. Interpersonal Skills: Good written and verbal communications skills are required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Incumbent must possess strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Technical Skills: Must have strong mechanical aptitude. Incumbent must have own set of basic tools for job. Must complete required training in all machines in order to understand proper mold change procedures. Must be familiar with all sections of Master Process Book. Must be able to use necessary computer applications (including CDM Apriso, FMS, & Lotus Notes). Other: Strong organizational skills required. Incumbent must be able to plan own work activities based upon production schedule. Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work a 12-hour shift schedule. Must be willing to go to 12 hour night shift as well. In addition, incumbent must be able to occasionally work past normal shift change to complete mold changes. Incumbent must be willing to demonstrate schedule flexibility as business needs require as well as for coverage for vacations and other absences. Physical: Must be capable of standing and walking on production floor for length of production shift. Will be required to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 60 lbs. occasionally. Must occasionally squat, bend, kneel, reach, etc., in order to carry out essential functions of the position.
