Test Engineer Co-Op - Fall 2025

The Role:
Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking a/an Test Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

The Test Engineer Co-Op will assist with maintaining and updating custom Windows based production testers. Emphasis within this role will vary significantly based on the skills/interests of the candidate, but a broad ability for cross-disciplinary skills is critical, as is the ability/desire to diagnose and solve problems.

What You'll Do:
* Support custom Manufacturing Execution and Software application, database, and hardware platforms on premises.
* Work with Lead Software Test Engineer to develop and release updated code on the test platform.
* Debug and troubleshoot software and hardware issues, both on production equipment and development machines.
* Review, improve, and document test specifications and procedures.
* Create, document, and perform verification tests on test system updates.
* Identify and analyze complex, cross-functional issues, and work towards effective solutions.
* Approach and involve the appropriate subject matter experts from other departments.

What We Seek:
* Analytical/experimental problem-solving skills to understand hardware, software issues, and can quickly analyze and resolve system inter-operability problems.
* Ability to engage and work effectively with colleagues throughout the organization.
* Comfortable using soldering equipment and being hands-on with various mechanical tools.
* Familiarity with reading, interpreting, and updating electrical schematics.

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
* Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar
* Software Engineering or Computer Science with some hardware experience
* Graduation date of December 2025 or later

Eligibility:
* Must be a currently enrolled student
* Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in July through December
* Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op program
