The Role:

The Department of Economics within the College of Business at Central Washington University seeks applicants for a full-time non-tenure track Lecturer position beginning September 15^th, 2025. The department has eight full-time faculty members and currently offers a teaching load of 3 courses per quarter with small classes and a relaxed teaching environment. The Central Washington University campus is located in Ellensburg, a small community 110 miles from Seattle, WA.

In addition to teaching introductory courses in economics, statistics, and business analytics, upper-level courses in agricultural economics, international economics, the candidate will teach the MBA course in business analytics. We are looking for an exceptional teacher with an applied focus and will ideally have an interest in developing or teaching project-based data-analytics oriented courses. The candidate needs to maintain appropriate AACSB status: IP for candidates with a master's degree, and SA for candidates with a PhD degree. Preferred Qualifications (please address in your cover letter):

• PhD in Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
• University-level teaching and research experience, including instruction of MBA courses, macroeconomics, agricultural, and international economics.
• Industry experience in economics and/or business analytics fields.
• Proficiency with R, Python, and other relevant analytics software.
• AACSB faculty qualification (IP, SP, or SA).
• Experience working in a diverse environment and/or utilizing a variety of teaching methods designed for broad student success.
• Ability to incorporate multicultural perspectives and issues into curriculum and classroom conversations.

Annual Salary: $65,000 - $80,000, based on a full-time nine-month appointment.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Appointment: Temporary, Non-Tenure Track, 9 Month Appointment. Additional Summer teaching may be available. Central Washington University is on the quarter system with appointments from mid-September through mid-June.
