Position: Machine Operator II - CAPE LINE
Location: Hartselle, AL
Pay Rate: $20.44 + .75 Shift Diff
Shift: 2nd Shift

Responsibilities:
- Operate stave making equipment including but not limited to; saw, sanders, splitters, screws, nails, tacks, molds, glue spreader, clamps, etc
- Inspect products at each stage of manufacturing process to ensure they meet customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Adjust machine settings based on product thickness and other variables.
- Set up and operate various types of machines used to cut, bend, form, and assemble wood staves.
- Stack finished staves according to size/weight/grade/customer requirements.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area.
- Wear protective gear such as earplugs, gloves, and steel-toed boots.

Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions and do basic math.
- Previous experience working with power tools or machinery preferred.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying of up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., unassisted, to waist level.
- Availability to work overtime as necessary.
- Able to work with adhesives, solvents, chemicals, dyes, pigments, paints, oils, resins, or other substances.
- Knowledge of raw materials, products, production processes, quality control, and safety procedures.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
