Scope of Position The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institutes (OSUCCC-James) mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towardsachievementofpositivepatientcareoutcomes,maximizingthepatientsinvolvementintheirownplanofcareand reducing the length of hospitalization, the outpatient RN plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care. PositionSummaryTheoutpatientRNisresponsibleformanagingandprovidingcaretothepatientandtheirfamily,andfordirecting and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The outpatient RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model. MinimumQualificationsDegreeinNursingfromaCCNE(CommissiononCollegiateNursingEducation)orAccreditationCommissionfor Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experienceinrelevantcaresettingpreferred.
