Your opportunity

We're looking for a Region Vice President, Sales-Southeast at Cooper Lighting Solutions to join our team. You will be responsible for the attainment of Division and Corporate goals of growth and profitability through planning, developing and directing the sales function for all C&I product brands.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for the attainment of Division and Corporate goals of growth and profitability through planning, developing, and directing the sales function for all C&I product brands.
  • Maintains close relationships with the Cooper Lighting marketing service functions within his/her area of responsibility through frequent interface with marketing services teams supporting his/her area of responsibility.
  • Plans and directs the efforts of the regional sales personnel in securing sales volumes in accordance with prescribed objectives at acceptable profit margins while demonstrating Cooper Lighting Solutions, Leadership Model.
  • Operates safely, raises expectations for customer focus, drives accountability for living CLS's values, builds effective teams while valuing differences and emphasizes continuous learning.
  • Develops and recommends to management, annual sales plans and forecasts for all individual manufacturers' representatives within the sales region.
  • Maintain executive level relations with the Key Customers within the Region
  • Develops agency relationships with all Cooper Lighting agents to facilitate the promotion of Cooper Lighting Solutions product lines.
  • Develops and maintains liaison with the management of selected key distributors, contractors, engineering firms, etc.
  • Conducts periodic meetings with all sales personnel in assigned region (includes lighting systems & solutions, national accounts, energy solutions, channel, architectural/specification products, utility/DOT and sports lighting) to ensure unified and cohesive sales efforts for the territory are being executed.
  • Demonstrate strategic leadership capability through design and implementation of a unified strategy in a highly matrixed organization to drive initiatives to create market advantage and reduce channel conflict

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required, MS/MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience preferred in the lighting industry with a strong understanding of lighting controls technology ideal (or similar controls industry)
  • 4+ years of experience working with Lighting Rep agents coupled with a strong track record of Lighting Rep agent oversight and management
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Commercial Lighting Trade channel partner ecosystem and Central US Region marketplace dynamics including competitive and customer trends that will encourage identification of new opportunities
  • Well- developed communication, organizational, motivational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time

Whatyou'llget in return...

Salary:$210,000 - $260,000 Base

Bonus:Target 35% Sales Incentive bonus
